All pricing is based on the standard premise that the customer will only use the images for personal use, not print any hard copies, or use any of the images for profit without the express permission of the photographer. This is because the photographer inherently owns all rights to any image taken until a "Release of Copyright" (ROC) is given. The optional Release of Copyright listed below in the "Additional Purchase Options" section allows the customer to own all rights to any image created during any one session. This includes raw images as well as any that have been edited since the session. More specifically, this gives the customer the ability and legal right to have any of the images printed at any photo processing business to include, but not limited to Jet Photo, Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, K-Mart, etc...But keep in mind that in order to print any of your images at any processing center, the ROC is required by law.
Studio Pricing:
Solo and Duet "best-friend" portrait sessions:
Cost - $75.00
Time - One hour
Photos - After the photo session, I will edit the photos, and post them on an online studio. You will then be able to log onto the online studio and purchase any pictures you want.
Outifts - As many outfit changes you want and can accomplish in the allotted time window.
Family portrait sessions:
Cost - $100.00
Time - One hour or until the paying client is satisfied, whichever comes first.
Photos - After the photo session, I will edit the photos, and post them on an online studio. You will then be able to log onto the online studio and purchase any pictures you want.
Outfits - No outfit changes
Additional Info - One "silly" pose not only included, but encouraged.
Newborn/baby portrait sessions:
Cost - $75.00
Time - Not to exceed an hour and a half. Note: Since the actual end of the session is up to "baby", we realize it is completely possible the session will end up being much shorter.
Photos - After the photo session, I will edit the photos, and post them on an online studio. You will then be able to log onto the online studio and purchase any pictures you want.
Additional info - Starting a session while baby is sleeping is allowed.
Modeling/Head shots portrait session:
Cost - $125.00
Time - One hour
Photos - After the photo session, I will edit the photos, and post them on an online studio. You will then be able to log onto the online studio and purchase any pictures you want.
Outfits - Multiple outift changes related to the pre-determined theme of the session allowed.
Additional Info - Release of copyright is not available with modeling sessions
On-Location Photography Pricing:
This is what most clients will hire us to do, and as such, is the most negotiable service we offer.
In general, the cost of an on-location shoot is calculated by adding the standard studio pricing and ideals to any additonal costs incurred by shooting at the location of your choice.
Cost - Costs vary with every shoot, but an additional fuel cost of .50 cents per mile from the Rapid City area would be standard, in addition to special circumstances such as extended wait times and duration of the event. No additional fuel-related costs would be incurred for any shoot between Box Elder to the East and Black Hawk to the West, or Golden Valley to the North, Caputa to that part of the East, and to Catron Blvd to the South.
Actual pricing for an event other than an on-location studio-type photo shoot lasting an hour or less would be negotiated when the client contacts us. Every event has special circumstances, and it is virtually impossible to price for every one of them up front. So please just give us a call so we can discuss the particulars of your small wedding, corporate party, family reunion, sporting event, or on-location senior pictures.
Sports events (Individual and Team photos):
Cost - One 5"x7" Team photo = $7.50 each
Two 4"x6" Individual prints = $2.50
One sheet of eight wallets = $10.00 per sheet
One 8"x10" Team photo = $20.00
Photos - Session will take place at one location only. Individual photos will be taken first, then the Team photo after that. This ensures all team members are present and ready in time for the Team photo.
Additional Info - Team photos will only be charged per print supplied. I will take the photos, edit them, and post them on an online studio. You will then be able to log onto the online studio and purchase any pictures you want. NOTE: An ROC is not available for Individual or Team Sports photos.
Product Photography Pricing:
Cost - Dependent on number and value of items photographed.
Time - Time is not a factor in relation to each piece photographed. Time would be based on total job completion. Minimum flat rate of $50.00 per hour of project work would apply.
Photos - One edited digital file per piece photographed would be transferred to the client on a CD, DVD or optional thumb drive.
Aerial Photography Pricing:
Cost - $300.00
Time - Image has to be able to be obtained within one hour from take off to landing. Locations outside the 1-hour total time threshhold will cost more.
Photos - Includes one single file of your choice of all photos taken. Single photograph will be edited to our liking and transferred to the client on a CD, DVD or optional thumb drive. Client will need to specify what printed size they want the file to able to be printed at.
Additional Info - Aerial photographs are for GENERAL PURPOSE USE ONLY. We are not licensed to, or capable of taking topographic-quality photographs for use for cartography or civil engineering. We take high-resolution photographs from a privately owned airplane and get back to Rapid City as quickly and safely as possible in order to get the finished product to our client. Please give us a call as soon as you can as scheduling a flight is probably the most problematic issue of aerial photography.
Photo Retouching Pricing:
Cost - Minimum charge of $10.00, not to exceed $25.00 per original
Time - Price includes editing time of 30 minutes per photo, but increases with additional time spent on each original (Do not fear, we are good at this)
Photos - For liability purposes, all originals will be returned to the client before the job is complete. The scanned digital images will then be worked until the job is complete at which time the new digital photographs will be delivered to the client on a CD, DVD, optional thumb drive or hard copy if you so choose.
Additional Info - We currently do have a size limitation of 8x10 for your originals, but virtually no limitation on what size you want the new digital image to be able to enlarged to.
Image Digitizing Pricing:

Additional Purchase Options:
Release of Copyright (ROC):
Cost - $100.00 per session, per CD/DVD/thumb drive to include all photographs, raw or edited, taken during a single session.
Additional Info - ROC letter will be located on the same CD, DVD or thumb drive as the photographs, and can be printed for any photo-finishing business' use. This will allow you to print as many of your own images as you wish.
Thumb Drive:
Cost - $20.00 for a 512MB thumb drive in lieu of a CD or DVD.
Additional Info - CDs and DVDs can be easily damaged, cracked or otherwise destroyed and made unusable by improper handling. A thumb drive is a great option for photographic image delivery as it allows the client to take the pictures anywhere and plug them into any computer to access them, to include photo-finishing businesses. Some older computers do not have CD-ROM drives able to read newer burnable CDRs, and most computers do not have the ability to read DVDs, making it impossible for a client to read them on any computer.
NOTE: The use of a client's thumb drive is not an option due to the risk of virus transfer.
